In late 2009 the Continuous Mortality Investigation (CMI) released the final version of its new mortality projections model (the model).The release of this model coincides with what we believe to be the start of a new era for mortality projections and for the way in which trustees and sponsoring employers treat the uncertainty surrounding future changes in life expectancy.
