Anti-forestalling measures for high earners

In the 2009 Budget, the Chancellor announced new restrictions on higher rate tax relief for individuals with gross income of £150,000 a year or over from April 2011. In advance of these changes, the Government implemented anti-forestalling measures to prevent affected individuals from changing their behaviour to take advantage of the full relief while they could.
