The fourth anniversary of the introduction of the Scheme Specific Funding regime has recently passed (on 22 September) and many trustees will be about to start on their second scheme funding valuation. Some trustees will already be a long way down the road with funding discussions with the employer or even have reached agreement. However the economic situation is now very different from that of four years ago.
