The SAPS mortality tables

On 31 October 2008, the Continuous Mortality Investigation (CMI) of the Actuarial Profession published a new set of mortality tables. These are the first ever tables based on the experience of self-administered pension schemes. This note explains the background and comments on the implications for trustees and pension scheme sponsors.
