The 2009/10 pension protection levy consultation

On 25 September 2008 the PPF issued a consultation document and a draft determination regarding the 2009/10 levy. The key proposals in this document are a levy scaling factor of 2.22 and a total levy estimate of £700m. Although these figures are set out in a consultation document, the Board considers the proposals to be ‘firm ones’. The consultation period ends on 23 October and the final determination is expected in November 2008.
