In a consultation paper entitled 'Building a Society for All Ages', the Government has announced that it intends to bring forward its review of the default retirement age from 2011 to 2010.

The Pensions Regulator issues another statement on funding

The Pensions Regulator (TPR) has issued its fourth statement relating to current economic conditions and its third relating to scheme funding. The statement "Scheme funding and the employer covenant - prudence, affordability, applying flexibility through the economic cycle" contains little that is entirely new, but repeats and strengthens a number of earlier messages from TPR.
