Efficient administration relies heavily on IT. At Punter Southall we take a proprietary approach to technology and virtually all our IT systems have been designed and developed in-house. We have 30 pensions IT specialists who maintain our systems and provide constant support to our clients.
Electronic document and task management
Our Electronic Content Management system (FileNet) is the market-leading administration application. The system removes the need for clients to transport paper files and instead we scan all correspondence for administrators to view electronically.
Not only does this improve efficiency and the ability to work at short-notice, but electronic backups ensure business continuity in the event of disaster.
Administration database
Protecting members’ confidential information is at the core of our flexible administration database. The system is able to work across defined benefit and defined contribution plans, and has been coded around web-based technology that handles sensitive data. By designing the system in-house we are able to make modifications and updates without the delays endemic to our industry.
